Mon, 26 February 2007 I've made a little progress on the Wordpress installation -- and a big thank you goes out to Evgeniy Kaschenko and everyone else who emailed to help -- but I haven't had a chance to work on it this weekend, as I hosted my first Wii party on Friday, which was a huge success, and spent the rest of the weekend either sleeping it off or working on other web sites. In the meantime, I've decided to point the daveslounge.com home page directly to the old Liberated Syndication page, which should let me work on the new site in the background. Mon, 16 October 2006 So I came back from an out-of-town road trip today, and I had planned to settle in, finish re-installing all my audio software, and put together the next show. When I got home this afternoon, I found my parents in my house. They were rearranging furniture. All my computer equipment was scattered everywhere... That said, this is a temporary state, and I will do everything in my power to get a show out this week. Something went horribly wrong, the system files got corrupted, and I have no idea how to fix it -- or whether or not it can even be fixed without wiping out everything on the hard drive already. Incidentally, I got a note from Cling, the band that led off Dave's Lounge #59, and they inform me that eMusic has been pretty good to them: See you are an affiliate of eMusic as well, we actually made more by giving
our tunes away (so to speak) via eMusic than we would have made if we had sold

actually written and produced by stuhr as well. It was originally going
to go on DD's sophomore project, but it became the spark that ignited
the fire between the Stuhr boys and I. The truth is that Travis, Steve
and I never produced anything for the second album (this is why I went

Tue, 20 June 2006 Dave's Lounge #50 is going to be a little bit later than I had planned, in part because I spent a good chunk of tonight here. North Carolina doesn't win pro sports championships very often. In fact, up until last night, it had never won a pro sports championship. I would have felt bad not going to the party... On top of that, I've been planning a trip to Virginia Beach this weekend, so the #50 might not be done until next week. It's partially done, though, and still in the works, so don't go anywhere. Dave's Lounge is still open for you, and there's some great music in the next show. As those placards on the Tonight Show used to say, more to come... Thu, 15 June 2006 I have received emails from people saying that they cannot reach this site through daveslounge.com. As I understand it, Liberated Syndication had some DNS issues, but they appear to be fixed now. If you're still unable to reach this site via daveslounge.com, then the DNS info has not propagated to your area yet. Give it time. It should sort itself out soon. As far as I can tell, this does not affect people subscribed to the iTunes feed. Also, I am fully aware of the mess that is Permanent4.com right now, as I made that mess myself. Mon, 5 June 2006 I apologize for the delay on this one. My new laptop arrived over the weekend, and I'm still trying to get all my audio hardware and software set up on it.  As you can see in the background, I've also got a new audio interface, so if my voice sounds a little different on the next show, you'll know why. Also, if you've emailed me in the last week -- especially about the web design -- and I haven't gotten back to you yet, sit tight. I do intend to respond to everyone soon. Tue, 7 March 2006 Okay, so the Dave's Lounge Shop is down again today. Several graphics on my page are 404 as well. I'm seeing posts on LibSyn's support forum from people asking why their podcasts aren't showing up on their feed. I'm also hearing very little from LibSyn beyond a cursory, "We're moving things around as best we can, so bear with us." It's better than nothing, but it still feels a little sketchy. Clearly, their latest hardware upgrade is breaking things left and right. For this reason, I'm going to push Dave's Lounge #39 back a week to give the LibSyn guys some time to get their house in order. I want to be sure the Shop is open for next week's show, because there are a couple of songs from this show that you will want to buy. In the meantime, I'd like to ask a small favor of you, my dear listeners. I've gone into iTunes and created some iMixes of songs that have appeared on Dave's Lounge. I'd really appreciate it if you would go into iTunes and rate those mixes. If you'd like to buy some of them, too, that would be great, but just rating them would be enough for now. I'm attempting to see if I can use these iMixes as a promotional tool for the podcast itself. Here are the iMixes:

Mon, 6 March 2006 Libsyn appears to have changed some of their internal workings and redirects and such, and it's broken the Dave's Lounge Shop. It's also broken the header images. I may not be able to fix this until tonight. Sit tight, everyone. Update (5:45 PM): It looks like the fix is out of my hands. Libsyn is doing all the redirecting, so the problem is on their end. Wed, 24 August 2005 There appears to be something amiss with my RSS feed at the moment, which is why you probably haven't received Dave's Lounge #16 yet -- a rather unfortunate bit of timing, given the big announcement in this week's show. I have contacted Liberated Syndication about this matter. Hopefully, this will be resolved shortly...
